About Us

The Amanda Animal Hospital is a full-service clinic that will bring you the best in health care for all your pets. From horses and cattle to dogs and cats, our highly qualified veterinarians and staff will provide your pet the best care possible, using the latest technological advances and procedures. Clients will benefit from the convienent drop-off and pick-up hours as well as from the large animal haul-in facility. The hospital itself has recently undergone a complete remodeling, with larger reception areas and exam rooms, as well as newly constructed large and small surgery wards and inside and outside kennel and boarding areas. Staff Members

S. Michael Forsythe, DVM

1975 Graduate of The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the Southeast Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Special interest in Equine and large animals. Interests include sports, traveling and spending time with grandchildren. Wife Linda is the head office manager at the Amanda Animal Hospital.

 

Jessica Young, DVM

Dr. Jessica Young joined the team at Amanda Animal Hospital in the Fall of 2008.  She is a 2006 graduate of The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine.  She was inducted into the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. 

Dr. Young's focus it to extend the life of your pet and improve the quality of your pet's life.

During her time away from work she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Troy, daughter Luella, and pets.  Together the family enjoys travel and cooking.


 

Evelyn Tannhof, DVM

Dr. Evelyn Tannhof is the newest addition to our veterinary team. She is a recent graduate from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Tannhof's main interest is in dairy herd health  but enjoys the challenges of mixed animal medicine,  both in the clinic and out in the field. She looks forward to meeting all of the dedicated clients of
Amanda Animal Hospital as well as all their animals. 

Dr. Tannhof lives in Columbus and shares her life with her partner, Chuck, his 12 year old son Zach, and their two kitties.  Also they have a new  member of their family, Tanner, which  is a dog they rescued from an area rescue group.
